Getting Started

The first few minutes with a new app are usually where enthusiasm goes to die. There is a setup screen, then another one, then a decision you do not yet understand, followed by a help page explaining the thing you were trying to avoid reading about in the first place.
Book Dragon should be easier than that.
You do not need to learn the whole app before it becomes useful. Start with one collection, add one book, check that the details are right, and put it where it belongs. From there, the rest of the system begins to make sense because you are no longer looking at empty screens and abstract options. You are looking at your books.
This Quick Start guide walks through the basic path from an empty Book Dragon library to a collection you can actually use. You will create your first collection, add a book, review its edition and copy details, organize where it lives, track your reading if you want to, share the collection with someone else, and learn what to do when something inevitably behaves differently than expected.
You do not have to follow every article in order, and you do not have to use every feature. If all you want is a dependable inventory of the books you own, you can get there quickly and ignore the rest until you need it. If you are building a shared family library with multiple editions, reading statuses, locations, and several people adding books, the same path simply keeps going.
Start with the first collection. The books can complicate things later.
